TRANSMISSION WITH ROPS
The RPS, Reverse Power Shuttle, is the unique reversing system fitted on all models. The system utilizes two electronically controlled hydraulic clutch assemblies which enable the operator to either start the tractor or reverse the direction at any speed and in any condition, by simply moving the lever located to the side of the steering wheel without pushing the clutch pedal. Each operation is handled by a control unit which controls both the tractor starting and braking functions.
RPS system improves the accuracy of maneuvering, extend the life of the transmission, do away with all mechanical adjustments necessary due to normal wear and tear and make the tractor extremely easy to handle.
The transmission, common to all versions, features 4 synchromesh speeds, 3 reduction ranges and a creeper for a total of 16 forward speeds and 16 reverse speeds, allowing the tractor to reach a maximum speed of 40 km/h.
The wet multidisc PTO clutch with automatic braking system is controlled hydraulically and offers two standard speeds at 540/750 rpm, plus one ground speed.
The simultaneous locking of the front and rear axles is electrohydraulically controlled, resulting in tighter turning radius and minimized soil damage when maneuvering in confined spaces. As a whole, this new transmission makes the 6600 series a range of true specialty machines able to meet all the needs farmers expect of this kind of tractors.
