VP 4600, VALPADANA TECHNOLOGY UNDER A COMPACT FORM

With the new VP4600 tractor range Argo Tractors has meant to re-launch the Valpadana brand, thus making a real qualitative leap forward. The new equal-wheel tractor range, that was officially presented at the Agricultural Exhibition of Verona during the past month of February, as a matter of facts represents much more than a simple upgrade of the VP4500 series.

A pioneering technological content, a bonnet featuring a completely revamped look and a new power level ranging from 25 to more than 47 HP for the top model, do testify to the great innovation degree of this tractor range.

Though launched into a higher power bracket, the new series, coming in three models powered by 3 and 4 cylinder Yanmar engines, still maintains the agility and the compactness of the previous series, thus making these machines particularly versatile and multipurpose.

In addition to the equal-wheel “ISM” version, for the two high powered models VP 4645 and 4655 the new series comes also in the “VMR” version with oversized rear wheels, a solution making these tractors capable of providing increased lugging power for non-stop farming operations in any work conditions.

The transmission of the whole range, unique among the “low-power” equal-wheel tractors, features a synchronized 8FWD+8REV speeds gearbox, with maximum speed achieved at 29 km/h, and relevant controls located on the side of the steering wheel.

The power lift, equipped as standard with raise/lower/float functions, provides a lifting capacity of 1500 kg and is available, as an option, also with a lowering speed and draft control adjustment.

The PTO is fully independent and is engaged via a wet multi-disc clutch to allow for utmost autonomy and versatility and for fast gear and direction changes even while tractor is in motion.

The innovative steering system features a single “central drive” cylinder and diversified steering angles for an unbeatable turning radius. A 15% swing between the two axles provides maximum traction in any work condition, thus maintaining the center of gravity of the tractor very low and ensuring a perfect stability also on steep slopes and with any sort of implements.

A powerful internal braking system with oil-cooled discs provides utmost safety thus ensuring tip-top efficiency in any braking condition. The type-approved folding front safety frame, besides ensuring utmost operator’s safety, makes these tractors ideal for use in green houses, for crops with a large amount of foliage and in awning cultivations.

All these features work together to ensure utmost reliability and safety of the 4600 Series, thus making these equal-wheels machines highly competitive on the market place thanks to an excellent quality-to-price ratio.
